privacy policy.

daydream driving · very silly dev

the short version

daydream driving is a free game that shows ads. i don't collect your personal information directly. the ads are served by google admob, which may collect data to show you relevant ads depending on your tracking preferences. you can opt out at any time.

what i collect

nothing directly. daydream driving does not collect your name, email, location, or any personally identifiable information. there is no account system. there is no login.

the game saves your best distance locally on your device. that data never leaves your phone.

ads and google admob

daydream driving uses google admob to display ads. admob may collect the following to serve and measure ads:

  • device identifiers (including apple's identifier for advertisers, idfa)
  • ip address and approximate location (country / region)
  • device type, os version, language
  • ad interaction data (views, taps)

this data is used by google to display ads and measure their performance. i do not receive or store any of it. google's data practices are governed by their own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

app tracking transparency (ios)

on ios 14.5 and later, apple requires apps to ask permission before tracking you across apps and websites. when you open daydream driving for the first time, you'll see a prompt asking whether to allow tracking.

  • if you allow: admob may use your idfa to show you personalised ads.
  • if you decline: you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your activity across other apps. this is fine. the game works either way.

you can change this at any time in settings → privacy & security → tracking.

in-app purchase

daydream driving offers one in-app purchase: "remove ads + support the developer" for $2.99. this purchase is processed entirely by apple through the app store. i do not handle or store any payment information.

children's privacy

daydream driving is rated 4+ on the app store. the game does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. admob is configured to serve non-personalised ads by default in compliance with coppa and apple's guidelines for apps accessible to children.

data sharing

i don't sell your data. i don't share your data with anyone except google admob, as described above. that's it.

your choices

  • opt out of ad tracking: settings → privacy & security → tracking → disable for daydream driving
  • limit ad personalisation: settings → privacy & security → apple advertising → personalised ads off
  • remove ads entirely: buy the in-app purchase. no more ads, ever.

changes to this policy

if anything changes, i'll update this page and the date at the top. nothing here will change without a good reason.
